With summer just around the corner, I thought it was the perfect time to set this week's watchlist in the city of sunshine, LA.
THE MOVIE: LA LA Land
If you haven't seen this film you would be forgiven for thinking it is just a musical but it is much more than that. This is a film about sacrifice, discipline, following your dreams. And yes, there is music but it stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling so you know it's gotta be good. Written and directed by Damien Chazelle
THE TV SHOW: Love
A quirky show set in LA about a group of friends trying to juggle life in LA and relationships. Not exactly new territory but love has a lot of heart and the writing is great. A perfect weekend binge. Judd Apatow executive produced.
THE SHORT FILM: The Climb
Very clever little one take short. An intense conversation between two friends. While cycling. Uphill. In LA.
